I Love You

What do most love letters contain? Passion; personal understanding and intimacy; persistence; belligerent commitment and jealousy; boasting about her qualities; security of devotion; satisfaction “only in you”. It is a familiar pattern. Yet do we ever feel this way about the church? About my own local church? Paul felt this way about the Thessalonians, and this is his love letter.
