The cure for trouble

What is it that is troubling you? We all go through troubles at some point in our every day lives. Jesus said however that we are not to let our hearts be troubled, or agitated. That despite how things look like they are going south in a hurry we shouldn't get worked up over it. The disciples here in our text had just been told one of them would betray Jesus, Judas had just gone out and they didn't even understand that, but Jesus did. And His desire is to take away the agitation from our hearts. Even for us today when things make no sense or look bleak He has the cure for what ail us. Just as He told the disciples we are to also do. Jesus said for us to put our faith to work, to believe also in him. He showed them that there is a right direction to head and that that is “In my father's house” or a fixed place as the word ‘IN” denotes. The word “mansions” tells us that there are staying places or presented solutions for us to go to when trouble comes for us. And that word “place” by definition requires occupancy, so if we don't take advantage of the cure God has given us then it profits us nothing. The cure for trouble is waiting but do we want it?
