The leper's longing

A man full of leprosy sees Christ. The leper acknowledges his disease, desires cleansing from it, pleads with Christ to be made clean, and receives the cleansing he desires. In this, he models in some measure the repentant faith of the sin-sick sinner trusting Christ's power and entrusting himself to Christ's mercy.
