What is happening to the church? Discernment is what’s lacking along with a lack of true repentance. Today’s church has slid down the slippery slope of apostasy and there are no bumpers hardly are left to soften the fall. There are fewer and fewer men who stand boldly for righteousness's sake, for God’s holy name’s sake, as Israel has done in the past, the church stands guilty for profaning the name of our God Jesus Christ. I believe with all my heart that true believers today are a minority as the circle of truth becomes more minuscule by the decade, we are definitely in the Laodicean age. I thank God for men like you who stand fearlessly for the truth!

I have been listening for the past few evenings to your awe-inspiring teachings, what a blessing! Dr. Elliott, I just love the way you hone out false teachings for the benefit of the believers and the glory of God, and what I respect most is your boldness in naming the names of those who are in a backslidden state but, for nothing else other than the truth being exposed, that we may pray for those who see no issues in an all-inclusive church setting. Thank you, Dr. Elliot.

Very powerful sermon! I believe it is what is needed today, a return to the true Word of God. I too am a Sunday School teacher & would love to buy a DVD of this sermon for my class!! I teach our men's discipleship class at my church and would love to have a DVD of this video. I've been watching many videos and bought not a few. What a sad state of Christianity we are witnessing in our day. The faithful men called to proclaim His truth are scarce. Those who do witness aren't even called or equipped and don't even have the truth right, mixing the heresies of various works with grace, thus nullifying truth and being of no affect. 'Most cannot defend the basic Christian doctrines' - what a profoundly truthful statement. The Christ of the bible is not even known by most. Man centered doctrines usurp biblical truth, another jesus is preached and propped up everywhere! We now know why Christ said when He comes, will He find faith? No, true saving faith will be all but non-existent when He comes....

Great message, much needed for this day

National patriotism is sinful pride since it elevates one nation above others. We also must proclaim the Gospel to all nations. Also, The Lord chose Israel, not America, to represent Him. Despite America not being rooted in monarchy, favouring a republic, the idea of a republic is unknown to Scripture. We observe the Royal Monarchy of Jesus Christ, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. May His Majesty, The Lord Jesus Christ be proclaimed to all nations.

We must not get sidetracked with national patriotism. True, The Lord did assign the nations of the Earth with boundaries like in Acts 17:26. While national populism in the many nations around the world is more accountable to the world's populace than globalism, there is still sinful pride in nationalist movements. The Tea Party Patriots is no exception. Sure, Great Britain did enlighten the world, but it was because of the Protestant Reformation.

Very good message if only you was using the pure word of God the KJV and not Satan's counterfeit the "NKJV which goes against everything that you taught. I will pray for you that you will get back to the pure word of God the King James Bible. I find it very hard to believe that a preacher with your knowledge don't know about the deletions and changes made in the NKJV. It's the same thing as preaching a great message against alcohol and the effects of it while having a beer. Preaching against counterfeits while using a counterfeit. Maybe you did not know that the new King James Omits the word Lord 66 times and omits the word God 51 times omiits the word repent 44 times Omits the word blood 23 times Omits Jehovah entirely omits the word New Testament entirely omits the word damntion entirely omits the words devils entirely and omits the word Hell 22 times. Brother if you did not know this please do the research and get back to the pure Word of God The Authorized King James Bible. Remember if it is new it is not true if it is true it is not new. this is a timely message. The Lord be praised for men like Paul Elliott who put God and His word FIRST.

This message speaks loudly of the PCUSA and the reason I must and all who desire to live godly must separate ourselves from this apostate church. I'm sure there are others, but I am reeling from how God's living, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, His word has cut me to shreds. Thank You Lord for Your word and using this man Your servant; Dr. Elliott!
