Depression and fear are screams only those who have them can hear. No one would choose such things. Thank you for speaking for us.

Among many comforting things said in the sermon the one that I find most true is that Christians dealing with mental illness do not CHOOSE it. Yes and amen and thank you pastor for your words.

May we be enabled by His grace to trust unto death.

Truthfully, I am mad at many Christians in my church. Evangelicalism is killing America and they refuse to see it. I don’t expect the non believer to understand much when believers can’t even have a conversation in the church about issues stopping the great commission. Just saying!!! I think Jeremiah and Ezekiel were also mad at the religious order of the day.

Great sermon, I thank God everyday that I am healed from depression and anxiety .Rom .8:1

Thank you for that sermon. I wish more pastors had this insight. I avoided churches for years because too many people have the idea that because of my social phobias and depression I must be guilty of sin or not really saved saying something like, Jesus is all you need. If you are struggling you need to confess and repent. Mental illness is perhaps one of the most misunderstandings in church teaching. I feel you handled it with love and understanding. Thank you!

Thank you for this sermon. It's done lovingly and with understanding. It is hard to be understood as a Christian with ongoing depression, and you do understand the effects depression has on sufferers. My heart was lightened while listening and I do feel like there is hope again. Thanks and God bless you.

As a 20 year old guy who struggles with homosexuality, this has given so much comfort to me, and brought me a peace I never thought I would have. You get it. You hit the nail on the head. I only wish every church understood homosexuality the way you do. I've listened to all your sermons since this one. There's so much comfort in the way you preach, and I thank you for that.
