Thank you for explaining the chronological timeline that Chapter 25 came before Chapter 24. It helps to review the 3 month wonder of the kings of Judah too.

This is so relative to today’s church. I believe it’s because of so many false pastors that we are in judgment. We know it’s for our time because the verse says “in the last days”. Church and State are one when a church has a Tax ID. The church gets tied to Caesars govt and must obey its rules. I saw many hypocritical and false churches during Covid. There are very few Joshua and Caleb’s that are faithful and fearless.

I love how you explained the potsherd gate of Benjamin. You really have a way of explaining Jeremiah’s anguish for God’s ppl. It’s hard for Christians, or God’s ppl, to hear, to see, and to perceive.

I love Jeremiah for his truth of his State and Church. The King being the State- President, and the Queen- false Harlot church. USA church + state reminds me of Judah + Jerusalem. I am thinking the garment in Jeremiah is the White waistband that the Pope wears for now. The false govt priests wear these waistbands. I read the Whole House of Israel + Whole House of Judah as the Two Olive Tree Nations in Romans and the Two Branches in Ezekiel 37:16. The wine jugs that God fills up with wine reminds me of delusion, lies that He will send. Ppl think all is well but darkness, deep darkness, and death are coming…ppl are under great delusion. You are correct that substance over form must be applied. Dead churches, buildings are still here but some of His wheat is still in there alongside the chaff.

This same Olive Treen Nation is tied to Romans Two Olive Trees.

Thank you for explaining the level of treachery within Jeremiah’s own family, in the household of faith. God planted them and they have taken root and they produce fruit. This reminds me of Saul that turned to Paul. It was a wicked House but there came some good fruit out of Benjamin. This reminds me of the treachery David faced from his closest friend, his guide, his equal in Ps 55:13

I think this sermon was the best yet in your Jeremiah series. The only thing I may add is that Moses was the Officiant of the Marriage and it points to Jesus being the perfect Officiant, or Intercessor. The sacrificial flesh of animals gives Israel no ‘right’ into His House but it points to Jesus Sacrificial flesh gives us the ‘right’ to enter His house.

I believe the reprobate silver could represent the wicked side of the Benjamite tribe [the sons of Belial]. We see in Gen 44:12 that Joseph passes his ‘silver cup’ to Benjamin and Benjamin receives 5x’s the amount of ‘food’- wealthy tribe. Gen 43:34. Silver could be prophetic language of Benjamin.

When Jeremiah has the vision of the Almond Tree, I believe the almond tree represents the Levi Tribe from Aaron. There will be a Levite line that will grow. In prophetic language, Aaron had the Staff with the Almonds growing on it.

I find it interesting that when King Josiah discovers the Book of the Law he ask his advisors to ‘enquire of the Lord’. They do not go to Jeremiah but they go to Prophetess Huldah. She reveals that God will show mercy to Josiah as to go to the grave in peace and not see the evil to come upon the land. The advisors went to Huldah, the wife of the Keeper of the Treasury. She knew the scriptures and the advisors wanted truth. 2 Kin 22:14; 2 Chr 34:22-28

Few pastors are willing to tackle the Prophets. In Jer 9:26, I am curious of what you think of this reading. I read it that the Judah Jewish Nation is uncircumcised or not married to God; they are in the same category of Edom, Moab, Ammon, Egypt…Judah was more treacherous….but the Israel Ephraimite Nation or the 10 tribes that were scattered or dispersed [85% of whole house of Israel] are still circumcised or married to God but they are uncircumcised in their heart until they receive Jesus. Israel Nation is the Harlot to God because she is married to Him. Israel is the Bride to be redeemed. Also, the Judah wives are taken to other men Jer 6:12, 8:10. These Northern Kingdom lost sheep of the House of Israel are the ppl that Jesus came to seek. Paul calls the Galatians the Israel of God in Gal 6:16. Thank you Pastor Cliff, Heather
