It should be noted that Calvary Chapel is really a worldly Arminian organization. Many contemporary praise churches espouse Arminian "free will", which attacks The Sovereignty of The Lord. As we know the word 'predestinate' is translated from the Greek word proorizō (προορίζω), and this Greek word occurs in Acts 4:28, Romans 8:29-30, 1 Corinthians 2:7, Ephesians 1:5, and Ephesians 1:11. Then again, New Calvinist churches, which are also contemporary circus churches, also espouse Arminian "free will." It is sad how Calvary Chapel had worldly beginnings as a worldly circus church, and all of it is because of Calvary Chapel's Arminian philosophy of "free will."

This critique by Paul Flynn is well worth listening to especially if you have ever listened to Pirate Christian Radio aka Fighting for the Faith, from which I have learned a lot, especially about how to be discerning. It's important to realise that everyone is human and even teaching from excellent pastors needs to be checked against what God has said in the Bible.
