I heard things in your sermon that I read a hundred times, but didn’t HEAR it until I listened to this sermon. I appreciate your clear teaching and preaching of God’s Word!

As he often does, Rev Powell helps me see my own sinful flesh, my self-righteousness, and how much I am like the people in Jesus’ day. Once again, I am reminded that the problem is not “them” but me.

This memorial sermon was so beautiful ... but ... the prayer it was prefaced by was truly astonishing! Only a true Christian can empathize with how wondrous and comforting and "fear dispelling" the initial prayer is that this beautiful sermon is prefaced by. May our dear Lord comfort and strengthen you dear Pastor Powell for you are indeed "a good & faithful servant in whom He is most pleased". You are prayed for in all spheres including your family and congregation and city also!

This is a scholarly and non-boring presentation of the gospel-human relationship. It is seamlessly knitted together from Old and New Testaments. Preached in context of the time. Encouraging.

Grace and peace my brother in Christ our Lord. I want to bless you suggesting that you listen to brothers Barrett Holloway of Cherith and Paul Rendall's series on Songs. You'll find nourishment from another member of Christ's body as he speaks truth in love as I do also. May God continue to bless his people as we unite in a kingdom that suffers violence due to darkness of God's enemies and is now encroaching the church. We must wage the war capturing the imaginations of this generation as in the past. In love "iron sharpens iron." We cannot let the kingdom go undefended. The violent must take it by force.

This sermon has really helped me gain insight into God's will, this point of being in His will or knowing His will has never been clear to me. This sermon encouraged me and gave me great hope, as I have been recently just learning how to overcome the mental oppression an abusive marriage of 35 years and still presently in has isolated me. I have never heard a teaching like this before. I have quietly pulled away from church as it fed the abuse even more, and the kind folks from 'A Cry of Justice', made me aware that I was not alone, and many of us who are abused were led to a safe place to go on Sunday, even if it's only through my I-Pad. Thank-you. I look forward to listening to more.

The bible doesn't say not to bake a cake? Of course not. It's not just about baking a regular cake. Why participate in what God calls an abomination? In Jeremiah 7v18 The women baked cakes also, but for the queen of heaven. It's what is being celebrated that's wrong.
