This message encourages Christians that we can get through the trials of life if we realize that their purpose is to make us more holy. It also provides an account of the story of Hannah Overton, who brought much glory to God by remaining faithful while going through a serious trial of being falsely convicted of a crime.

Pastor Otis proves from Scripture that the prayers of God's people have real power and value. In various Bible passages (e.g. Psalm 106:23), intercessory prayers are said to have had a huge impact on events. Does prayerreally change anything? Yes!

Pastor Otis makes the important point that persevering in prayer is faith in action. Giving up results from laziness or unbelief. We have to wait for the answer to our prayer because God wants to build patience in our lives.

Pastor Otis encourages people to humble themselves before God and turn to Him in prayer during the current crisis.

Pastor Otis demonstrates that a thankful spirit is the offering that God relishes. Furthermore, a genuine spirit of thankfulness transforms Christians by transporting them from fear to peace.

Good sermon, but tough to listen to. Very convicting. If you are considering listening to the sermon, I would highly encourage you to do so.

My prayer for the brethren is that the posts minister grace to the reader, and that we will not castigate all the other bloggers. May grace that regenerated us be dispensed to all others so that it raises people up to a level where God is seen; not toward the earthly, devilish devices of fallen may or weak believers. May we not think highly of ourselves as those our Lord is instructing in the scriptures provided in this message. Great and holy is thy name O Lord. Cause us to remember where we were when you delivered us. Etch in our minds those things you've delivered us from. Mainly those things generated by the flesh (old sin nature). Let the words of our posts and the meditation of our hearts raise people to where they see only your glory and where they give thanks for the things God has done in, through, and by his Son. May God bless all of you with truth and power.

More great teaching from Tim Price. His sermons motivate believers to search the scripture through careful study and meditation. Moreso, they cause the hearer to not only cry out for more of the faith-life we're called to live, but more of whatever it takes for Christ to be formed in us. Surely, Christ does all things well.
