Seventy Weeks Overview

As Daniel prays for the restoration of Jerusalem, the angel Gabriel interrupts his prayer to deliver a message, which includes the prophecy of the seventy weeks. The prophecy is one of the most difficult in Scripture, and has been interpreted in differing ways, but the interpretations fall into two large categories: Dispensationalism and Covenantalism. This study is an introduction and overview of the prophecy.
