Chosen and Called for Salvation

In contrast to those deceived and bound for judgment in Verses 10-12 of chapter two, Paul is Thankful for these young Christians.

In these two verses, Paul describes the Complexity of God's Redemptive plan. He assures them that they are secure because whom God Choses, He also will Sanctify and Glorify.

Some have called this section a system of theology in miniature. It covers the whole work of salvation, from beginning to end. We see election from before the foundation of the world, effectual calling, belief in truth (of the gospel), Sanctification by power of the Holy Spirit and finally Glorification. We see each person of the Godhead at work here as well
