Of Church Government and Discipline

Chapters 30 and 31 explain that Christ has given the Church the authority to govern itself to direct its ministry in an orderly manner and protect its purity for the glory of Christ. The Church does this through ecclesiastical courts (deliberative governing bodies) and the appropriate use of discipline.
