Babylon, Pt. 3-1 - Fallen

There are two competing kingdoms on earth: Babylon and the Kingdom of Heaven. Babylon is a religio-political system of Satan that seeks to deceive people into thinking that they can be gods and have eternal life by secret (occult) means.

The scribes and Pharisees of Jesus day demonstrated the nature and doctrine of this pagan system. Jesus plainly stated that their father was Satan and they mimicked his will and ways.

Jesus judged the Pharisees in His lament over Jerusalem, declaring that God was abandoning that city (Matthew 23:37, 38). Revelation 11:18 states that "the great city" (usually identified as Babylon; Revelation 18:2, 10) was where their Lord was crucified—Jerusalem.
