The Deity of Jesus Christ Unveiled

When Jesus came to this earth the Father fashioned a body for Him that was not extraordinarily handsome (Isaiah 53:2). There was nothing about Jesus' physical appearance to distinguish Him from any other man. But the words He spoke and the miracles He performed were proof positive that He was altogether different from any other man who had ever lived. In these verses, just six days after Peter had confessed that the Son of Man is both the Messiah and the Son of God, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John on a mountain and is transfigured before them. His Deity had been clothed in flesh, and now it was unveiled before the eyes of these three fearful disciples. What did it mean, and what is the significance of the transfiguration? We learn together here.
