Abraham Was Justified By Faith and Not By Works

Paul has taught us that we are justified, declared righteous, because of the righteousness of Jesus Christ which He imputes to us by His grace through faith in His Name. The righteousness of Christ satisfies both the precepts and the penalty of God's Law on behalf of all who believe. In these verses Paul proves what he has asserted all along: that the gospel of the New Testament is also the gospel of the Old Testament. Men have never been justified by their works, but always through faith alone in Christ alone.
