Do We Work For Our Salvation?

Beloved in the Lord Jesus:
To understand this passage, you have to start at the beginning of this chapter.

What do you see there? You see the humility of the Lord Jesus.

He gave up the glories of heaven and took on ordinary human flesh to serve humanity and save his elect from the curse.

He took all kinds of abuse and set his face like flint to go to the cross.

Now as the Apostle concluded this thought, he began with a "therefore."

We pick up from therefore, and ask, what is that there for?
