The Ministry of Reconciliation

This message was from the Wednesday Evening midweek sermon series, from Princess Chapel Church in Ashland, KY by the Pastor, Douglas Salyer.

The title of this message was 'THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION.' The key message text was taken from 2 Corinthians 5:1-21 and Romans 5:8-11.

This message explains the doctrine of reconciliation through and by redemption.

This term reconciliation is through and by the redemptive work of Christ.
So in the technical sense, you can’t have reconciliation without Redemption.

Reconciliation:(kat-al-lag-ay')Redemption:(ap-ol-oo'-tro-sis)

• Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us” (Galatians 3:13-14).

• Christ redeemed us from the guilt of our sin. We are “justified as a gift by his grace, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24).

• Christ redeemed us from the power of sin: “knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ” (1 Peter 1:18-19).
