The Ram and the Goat

The vision of Daniel chapter 8 is related to the previous visions, but introduces two new symbols: a ram and a goat. We can know with certainty that these symbols refer to the empire of the Medes and Persians, and the Greek empire, because of the interpretation given by the angel Gabriel later in the vision. In this study, we examine why this vision uses different symbols than the ones previously used, and we look at history to see how the prophetic vision came to pass.
