Going on to Perfection

The underlying theme (or purpose) of Hebrews is to encourage Jewish Christians of the first century to make the age transition from the Mosaic (law) age to the Kingdom age. This admonition is achieved by contrasting the ministry in the old to that of the new under the Divine Son, Jesus, including the ministry of angels, Moses, the high priest and the covenant itself.
