Healing in the Temple

Miracles are associated with messages. The apostles used the healing of the lame man to tell about God glorifying Jesus and to call people to repentance. Jesus' enemies tried to suppress the message but God added to the number of believers - human sin cannot extinguish divine life. The apostles had a holy compulsion to tell what God had done. Such things take place in the context of the church, and we see God's answer to prayer in the message being proclaimed boldly while the Spirit's power was seen.
