Nineveh Repents; God Relents

Jonah receives God's commission for the second time to go and preach to Nineveh. This time, he obeys, but with a reluctant heart. In spite of Jonah's less than enthusiastic obedience to God, the people of Nineveh believe God. They fast and put on sackcloth, turn from their evil and violent ways and call out mightily to God with the hope that He might relent. When God saw what they did and turned from their evil ways, God did relent and Nineveh was saved.
