You are the assembly and army of the LORD; because God walks among you, put away filth and impurity.

1. The Holy God dwelt in Israel's assembly; thus the imperfect were excluded. (1-8)

2. The Holy God walked in the midst of Israel's army; thus filth was to be eliminated. (9-14)

3. As the church, the assembly and army of the LORD, God walks among you.

4. In Christ, you who were excluded from the assembly because of imperfection are brought near.

5. Because the Holy God walks among you as his army, put away all filthiness.
