Victory Over Defeat

At the close of chapter 13, Israel looks to be a defeated nation. Saul refused to listen to the Word of God. This is contrasted with Jonathan who has had his heart captured by God and exhibits great faith. A true believer knows God is Sovereign and omnipotent.

God can do anything and we must know that in our hearts. He can change any situation and we ought never take things into our own hands.

Our help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. Is my concern for myself or God's glory? Nothing is impossible with God.
