Hello friends,
I'm writing this note while waiting for our flight to the UK, where we hope to establish our fourth Vault site, this time in the UK. I'm traveling with two young men who will be doing much of the heavy lifting, and our Chief Architect will be joining us a bit later.
I am grateful.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have even a small part in the great work of the Kingdom. I am grateful for all that God has allowed us to build up to this point. I am grateful for our small team of talented engineers, developers, and designers. I am grateful for Bob Jones University. I am grateful for Vault sites #2 and #3, whose locations remain more discreet. And now, I am especially grateful for Let the Bible Speak, and for their willingness to partner with us on this new site. Above all, I am grateful for those who have supported this effort over the years.
It's humbling.
I realize that it takes a great deal of trust for people, many of whom we have never met, to support something that may be difficult for some to fully understand. I consider it something of a small miracle that we have been able to surround ourselves with friends across the globe who have knit their hearts with ours in this great effort.
And it's an effort worth fighting for, we believe.
At SermonAudio, we know our place. We have a job to do. We're not called to do everything, but we are called to do one thing: preserve and propagate sound preaching. That's it. PRESERVE, safeguard, protect. PROPAGATE, broadcast, scatter to the four corners. SOUND PREACHING. And we are determined to do this, and do it well, as long as God gives us strength.
Like Solomon in 2 Chronicles 2:1 who was "determined to build an house for the name of the Lord, and an house for his kingdom," we too are determined to build THE VAULT, and to build it "wonderful great" because, after all, our God is great (v5).
Of steam engines and telegraph machines.
A dear widow friend sent me a quote from Hudson Taylor that helped me greatly. Taylor said, "Let us see to it that we really apprehend what His command to us is, now in the day of opportunity, when there are so many facilities, when God has put steam and telegraph at the command of His people for the quick carrying out of His purposes." The steam engine and telegraph were the technologies of his day. What would he say of the Internet, AI, and global communications of our day for the quick carrying out of His purposes?
I believe the Lord has, in this final stretch of human history, poured out a remarkable array of tools and technologies upon His church. Tools for us to take up and use for His glory. Every tool is ultimately from God. Every piece of technology has been providentially ordered for such a time as this. I believe this with all my heart. They are meant to be used to preserve and propagate sound preaching to the four corners of the earth, reaching every people group in every language.
May God strengthen our hands for this work.
Of course we could use your support. This is a genuinely heavy burden for us to carry on our own. The fact of the matter is, even with support, we cannot do it. We're constantly feeling overwhelmed. So, please pray for us. Sometimes requests for prayer can serve as a spiritual cover for the real ask, which is financial support. This is not the case here. I believe if God is in this work, He will absolutely provide—one way or another.
So, I say it again. Pray for us.

VAULT UK OPENING // APRIL 18 @ 5pm GMT
Equipment is still arriving, and we have yet to fully assemble everything on site, but ready or not, we are planning to celebrate the opening of the Vault UK location, and we warmly invite any and all to join us for this special occasion.
LOCATION:
LTBS Centre, Ahoghill, Northern Ireland
https://maps.app.goo.gl/xHyHarQLSzUs8RoLA
DATE/TIME:
Saturday, April 18 @ 5:00pm
It will be my distinct honor to officially open the Vault UK, sharing the history of SermonAudio and The Vault, and how this UK site fits within the greater Vault vision. As a small token of our appreciation, each attendee will receive a complimentary (signed) copy of the SermonAudio Story book. In addition, we will be holding a raffle for a few extra items, including our 25th anniversary commemorative mug and our Vault LEGO set. If opportunity permits, we may also show the SermonAudio Story Film.

This opening is part of a larger day of celebration, as Let the Bible Speak will also be dedicating the entire facility with a special service at 6:00 PM. All are welcome to attend either or both events. The 5:00 PM Vault opening and the 6:00 PM LTBS dedication.
Let us enjoy this unique moment in history together.
